Volume “Public Sociology” Released Today
The conference volume “Public Sociology: Science in Dialogue with Society” is being released today on Campus. The volume is the result of the conference ‘Public Sociology’ presented by the research group Post-Growth Societies. It brings together texts on the concept of public sociology as well as practical, international examples and discusses the role and challenges of a dialogue between science and society. Apart from editors Brigitte Aulenbacher, Johanna Sittel, Michael Burawoy and Klaus Dörre, the contributors include, amongst others, Margaret Abraham, Carol Hagemann-White, Heinz Bude, Wilhelm Heitmeyer, Hans-Peter Mueller, Hans-Jürgen Urban, and Edward Webster.
